In a chemical change— • New substances are formed. • Energy changes are involved.  • There is a change in mass during the reaction. • Permanent change takes place.  Examples – ❖ Cooking of food ❖ Rusting of iron ❖ Heating of Lead nitrate ❖ Souring of milk ❖ Ripening of fruit.
